Graduating Improv Class is Invitation to Perform

Improv Class and helpful Donald

Oct. 8, 2017

The photos may not be the greatest quality, but our first performance as an Improv group was a resounding success. It was our graduation event and we showed off our newly gained prowess by inviting a few friends to share the joy and laughter with us.

Warm-up games

Troy Metcalf was our Improv teacher at Acting Up Network in Burbank, CA. Here he is in blue leading us in our warm-up games. He taught us a lot and created a safe place where we could be free to play. I, for one, was very apprehensive about doing Improv. Under Troy's guidance and with these wonderful actors, I loved it.

I looked forward to class every Sunday.

As we took our final bows to the applause of our audience, we were proud of what we had accomplished. We had made it through something we started off thinking was so scary, and loving every moment of the journey.
